Where We Live, In Words and Pictures

Hey guys, I was thinking…You see a lot of photos of food on placemats and napkins, lit up and arranged, and you get to know us only through our words. So I thought I’d take a minute to show you around our home, through pictures.

Above is what you see if you look out our dining room window. If I stretched out full-length and leaned out of my window, I could probably grab a hold of my neighbors’ windowsill. It’s that close. That’s city living. Sometimes I feel like we are eating breakfast together. And sometimes I see her sneak kisses with her boyfriend in her kitchen.

This is what you see if you crane your head out of my dining room window. There’s Golden Gate Park, and beyond those hills, the Golden Gate Bridge, which is kinda hidden. I can pretend that I have a ‘view of the bridge.’ You can tell it’s starting to feel like Spring.

This is part of a pizza I will tell you about next week. It was really delicious and I think you will like it. It’s made on my favorite pizza crust. Dusk is my favorite time of day and I thought I’d take this picture against the light. Stay tuned for the recipe.

That’s where we live, in pictures. Have a lovely rest of your week, and don’t forget to check out our April Mix!

Let's Meet up… in your inbox.

we visited SF a month ago, first time, and rented a house in the Portrero (sp?) neighborhood with family. I think that experience , of being in a neighborhood, with a coffee shop across the street, was my favorite. I live in a very rural section of the midwest. I loved to see the regulars show up each day, dogs in tow. and how cool to walk to the grocery! people were friendly! what a great city. hope to visit again someday

  • Trish, I am so glad you enjoyed your stay in our city! I, too, love being able to walk everywhere (like the coffee shops and little markets). I’m glad folks were friendly and hopefully you get a chance to come visit again.

  • Gill

Well now I really want to go to SF! Trish’s comment and your photos.. but alas no pennies to cross the atlantic! Ah well, I’ll have to content myself with photos.

  • Gill- I’ll try to share more pictures of our life in SF. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the food and music. 🙂

  • Posts like this (and friends!) make me wish we had a little loft in San Francisco. I do miss the convenience and vibe of city living, but there’s something about suburbia that appeals to me….I must be getting old 😮

  • @Danielle – I know what you mean..there are days when I feel like I need to just stretch out somewhere! But on gorgeous, sunny days, I’m reminded of just how much I love the city vibe. xx

  • I like this. It’s nice to have a context. 🙂

  • Thanks @Kimberley 🙂 Happy almost weekend!
