After spending a relaxing week in Ohio with Matt’s family, we’re back to our foggy little city by the Bay. As our plane descended through a thick layer of clouds last night, I gazed out over the vast stretch of land and sea, and thought to myself that 2012 is going to be a great year. We’ll be spending New Year’s Eve quietly, with my family. I tend to think that there are two key seasons for tasty drinks: Winter and Summer. Some of my favorites include mulled wine, champagne cocktails, mojitos, and hot chocolate (of course!). Christmas might be over, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t time to enjoy our favorite drinks for the season. Here are a few delicious drink recipes I’ve recently been eyeing, including one throwback to summer that I think can still be enjoyed at this time of year.

Hope you all enjoyed a few days off! I relaxed more than I usually do. Finished a good book and started another. And, oh yes, bought a 24 pack of glitter from Michael’s. Please help me figure out what to do with it!
