For most, the college years were spent drinking, procrastinating and fighting to stay awake in class. For New York-based duo Jack and Eliza—students at NYU and Columbia—college has been a little more productive. During their freshman year, they signed to Yebo Music. Now, as bright-eyed sophomores, they’re preparing to drop their debut EP (ironically titled No Wonders), produced by industry heavyweight Chris Zane.
“Hold The Line” will be the project’s leading single, and it emanates the youthful energy you’d expect from a couple of undergrads. Clean guitar punctuated with sparse tambourine chimes back their crisp and complementary vocals. It’s a pleasure to listen to—let’s hope the rest of No Wonders will have the same charm.
