After releasing last year’s very promising Where EP, London singer/songwriter Sophie Jamieson is back with a new track ‘Stain.’ The song has this sort of noir-folk feel to it, and Sophie’s vocal delivery is both beautiful and haunting, channelling a dichotomy present in the music of contemporaries such as Sharon Van Etten and Laura Marling. The song even drifts into post-rock territory around the 3-minute mark. Take a listen – but don’t shoot the messenger when it leaves you wanting more!
Expect a release through Luv Luv Luv Records. Also, please welcome Josh Henderson to Turntable Kitchen. Josh is one of our new music contributors and you can expect to discover a lot of great new music thanks to Josh.
