Single Serving: Tashaki Miyaki – Tashaki Miyaki EP

I’m constantly impressed by the number of great bands I’ve been stumbling upon these days. Another new favorite is L.A.-based Tashaki Miyaki. They’ve released a pair of covers including an echo-laden, hazy cover of the Everly Brother’s “All I Have To Do Is Dream”, but the real highlight of their early output is the ghostly and churning original “Somethin’ Is Better Than Nothin'”. They have a limited-edition (300 copies) 4 song 10″ record they are set to release through UK vinyl label The Sounds of Sweet Nothing that will also include 4 digital bonus tracks which can be pre-ordered from the labels Bandcamp.
