So one of the places I regularly visit to discover new music is the frequently rewarding AMDISCS website. They’ve released a number of albums for pretty awesome artists including DannielRadall, Teenage Reverb, Mickey Mickey Rourke, Ghost Animal, and more. My latest AMDISCS discovery is an upcoming split 4-track 7″ by the bands Teen Porn and Coma Cinema. Besides having an awesome Google-friendly band name, Teen Porn is also worth checking out for the darkly textured grimy rhythms that make up their first available cut from this 7″. The Coma Cinema track that has been released is far more straight-forward as it is based around a catchy, largely acoustic melody, but is equally rewarding. The single features two tracks by each artists, and is transparent purple/blue. It is available for pre-order now.
