Jose Gonzalez’s Veneer and In Our Nature easily rank as two of my favorite albums from the past 5 years. Kasey and I were fortunate enough to catch one of his live performances at Yoshi’s in Oakland back in September of last year. I recorded a little over a handful of the songs he performed using my camera. The video was a bust because of lighting issues, but considering I recorded these tracks with my camera, I think the audio turned out fairly well. So I converted the files into MP3s to share with our readers. To be honest, I missed most of my personal favorite tracks by Mr. Gonzalez – but these are still great songs. Enjoy:
