With a list of influences that includes “coffee” and “poached eggs”, Minneapolis-based Haley Bonar is our type of songwriter. Of course, more importantly, Bonar has been quietly penning fantastic songs over the span of more than a decade and five full lengths. Her latest is seeing release from Graveface Records (Casket Girls, Whirr, Hospital Ships) and sees Bonar exploring a darker sonic direction. We’re pretty smitten with her latest single “No Sensitive Man” which features a bubbly guitar-led melody filled-in with dark synths and driving beat. It’s a compelling sign that her new album Last War will be her best yet.
