For the past few days I’ve been obsessed with this gorgeous debut single from San Francisco-based duo CATHEDRALS (the project of Brodie Jenkins and Johnny Hwin) and it’s clear I’m not alone. In only five days the track has racked up over 85,000 plays and looks set to surpass 100,000 plays in it’s first week. So what’s so great about it? The stunning tune features a lush, glistening melody buoyed by powerful co-ed harmonies and Jenkins’ smoky vocals as she warmly promises, “when you come around, I’ll nurse you back to pieces.” Without exaggeration it’s the most promising debut single I’ve heard in awhile.
