Single Serving: Ennui – Coconino

Pittsburg-based four-piece Ennui are gearing up for the release of their latest full-length, Formation of Tides, which is scheduled for an April 5th release date.  To be honest, I’m not really familiar with the music from the band’s debut album, The Myth in Which We Live, and I haven’t heard the whole new LP yet, but if it sounds as good as this teaser MP3 I received from Goldest Egg, then I suspect it is going to be a treat.  Vintage synths and glossy keyboards ooze from the edges of of this single like so much gooey sonic yumminess. I did notice that they are also sharing another single, “We Are Young,” on their bandcamp page which uses a similar recipe as “Coconino” with similarly delicious results.  Check ’em out.
