Vancouver based Teen Daze will soon be California bound for some live performances including a set this Thursday, August 12, with Blackbird Blackbird at Milk Bar on Haight Street in San Francisco. And you’d imagine he’d be pretty busy packing up his equipment, double checking to make sure he hasn’t forgotten his toothbrush, etc. Nonetheless – dude found time to post a new track on his site before catching his flight: a cover of Japandroids “Wet Hair.” Japandroid’s rapid-fire guitars and crashing percussion are swapped for pulsating, stuttering and twinkling electronics. Personally, I’m stunned by how extremely well this cover holds up to the already-amazing original. Highly recommended.
