Single Serving: Masonic – Live Like a Millionaire

Austin-based quintet Masonic released their 5th full length Live Like a Millionaire on May 4, 2010.  Blending elements of Stereolab, Yo La Tengo and Blondie, they capture a warm, rhythmic sound.  The album is chock full of catchy tunes, and if you are like me, will leave you wondering why you’ve never heard of them before. Check out the grooving melody and jangly guitars of album opener “Lifetime of Deception” and their take on Leonard Cohen’s “Hey, That’s No Way To Say Goodbye” below to get an idea of what you’ve been missing.
