Video: Kid Cudi – Pursuit of Happiness (feat. MGMT/Ratatat)(alternate video)

This is the second of two videos that have surfaced for the track “Pursuit of Happiness” – the Kid Cudi/MGMT/Ratatat collaboration from Cudi’s official debut album Man On the Moon: End of the Day. To distinguish between the two videos, I’d propose simply referring to this one as “the good video” and the other video simply as “the bad one.” Enjoy!

  • Wait. Where is MGMT in this song?

  • Hey David,Good question. It's my understanding that MGMT are responsible for the chorus while the fellas from Ratatat produced the track and provide that psychedelic melody/beat.

  • so how come whoever owns the song or whatever seems intent on removing this video from the internet, because almost all the other links have died and they don't seem to have bothered putting it on youtube themselves.

  • This one has grown on me since the first viewing but I still prefer the first video.

  • UMG removes these videos from the internet because theyre basically evil. Theyre the biggest music company in the world and like to claim music they don't even own. A lot of videos taken down on youtube etc are largely because UMG makes claims to the rights of it.

I heard Kid Cudi didn’t like his performance in this video and that’s why it was kept off the internet as long as it was.
