Single Serving: Metric 2002/2003 demos

I love Metric. Love at first listen in fact. They were opening for Hot Hot Heat in Cincinnati the first time I heard them. I picked up a copy of their album Old World Underground, Where Are You Now immediately after they finished their set, and although it took me a listen or two, fell in love with that pretty quickly too. These demos are an interesting look at the evolution of some of my favorite tracks from that album. For example, the demo for “Dead Disco” is pretty drastically different from the final version, where as the demo for “Combat Baby” is pretty similar, but a little edgier. Enjoy!
