You may recognize Hoodie Allen as one of the great new artists I featured on the recent June mix (you have downloaded the June mix haven’t you?). If you aren’t familiar with him yet, here is your chance to get with it. He is a New York based hip hop artist, and he has been receiving a lot of love on Hype Machine – and for good reason. On the track “You Are Not A Robot,” Hoodie rolls out a layer of thick, witty rhymes atop a bright, clean melody and a crisp beat constructed from a pop tune borrowed from Marina & The Diamonds. It is a hot track that is certain to light-up a number of summer parties.
