Single Serving: Bon Iver – Various Covers (Revisited)

In case you missed it, Kasey and I are big fans of Justin Vernon’s work under the name Bon Iver. We’d previously posted a number of covers performed by Bon Iver that weren’t at the time shared on any other music blogs. Since that time the MP3s have turned up on a few other blogs. In the meantime, I’ve collected two more for you. One of the two is a superior recording on Bon Iver’s cover of the Outfield’s track “Your Love.” The other was an MP3 I found over on the excellent site i guess i’m floating. If you haven’t already picked up the Bon Iver debut album For Emma, Forever Ago, you should do so now: it is really, really good.

P.S. Justin does not provide lead vocals on the covers of “Tampa to Tulsa” and “Simple Man,” but he does the guitar and beautiful backing vocals. I especially enjoy the “Tampa to Tulsa” cover.

Bon Iver – Your Love (the Outfield Cover)(better quality recording)
Bon Iver – I Feel Like Going Home (Yo La Tengo Cover)
