Single Serving: Divine Fits – Would That Not Be Nice / My Love Is Real

The latest track by Divine Fits was shot out into the public while Kasey and I were away in Italy, but it certainly didn’t miss my radar. If you aren’t familiar with the surly, whiskey-swilling likes of Divine Fits yet, please allow me to share some knowledge. These guys are kinda like an indie-rock version of The Avengers. Sure there is no “Hulk smash” on indie rock’s mightiest heroes, but instead we get snarling kung fu expert Britt Daniel (Spoon), master of disguise Dan Boeckner (Wolf Parade/Handsome Furs), and demolitions expert Sam Brown (New Bomb Turks). Sounds pretty good for a combination of music makers, right?

Anyways, all nerdery aside, if you haven’t heard their latest jam yet, NOW is the time. If you’ve already heard it before, well, then you don’t need me to tell you that it’s always a good time to give it another spin. And, if you missed their first single, “My Love Is Real,” I’ve embedded it below as well. Oh, and did you notice that we have a store now? It’s called the TK Market and we’ve even got a few things for sale there already. Go check it out.

Pre-order the album, A Thing Called Divine Fits, from Insound. It’s released August 28.
