Single Serving: The Tallest Tree – I’ll Be Your

artworks-000082032307-770nne-t500x500

You’d be well served kicking your weekend off with this incredibly catchy tune from The Tallest Tree (a.k.a. Dawn Larsh & Armando Vega). It’s only the third release from the Dundas, Ontario duo, but with its clean hook and bright, upbeat melody, it serves as a very auspicious introduction.

They don’t try to do too much here. It’s a springy guitar riff, a simple beat, and some lovelorn lyrics, “I’ll be your eyes / when you’ve forgotten where to look / I’ll be your mirror / if your confidence is shook.”

Like a cup of coffee on a quiet morning, it’s a refreshing and invigorating way to start the day.
