Well, I am ashamed to say that, before this past weekend, I had never heard The Decemberists’ “Crane Wife” in it’s entirety. I don’t know if this fits the criteria, but it’s my favorite “new to me” song by a longshot.

I’ve been living under a rock, so I only just discovered Mogwai had a new album this year. “Deesh” is my jam right now. Although Chad VanGaalens “Leaning on Bells” is doing it for me too lately (and is a little more recent)

  • swelsh20

This week I finally was shone the greatness of Spiderland. The whole album has been on repeat, but to slim it down to one song, I’ll go with Washer.

  • PJ

“From Eden” by Hozier is really great! Just found it this week thanks to the blog Songsfortheday and it’s quickly become a favorite.

  • Traps by Years & Years is a killer track from this mostly unknown band that I found through Kitsune, but give it a listen it’s definitely my favorite at the moment!

I also got the new one from Avenged Sevenfold. I like most of it. I also bought Women of Jazz from Starbucks, what a great collection. Those ladies could sing!!

  • ellcoolj
