Single Serving: Skywave – Buoyant

I’m definitely enjoying the deliciously warm stew Skywave (a.k.a. Edinburgh-based producer Aidan Dodds) is cooking up. His latest LP is an analog bouillabaisse brimming with bits of Boards of Canada and spicy post-dubstep low end. For me, the track “Just a Taste” perfectly encapsulates Skywave’s vision with it’s ethereal and faded atmosphere, pierced by dubby bass, flowing in and out like warm waves on a rocky beach. It’s meditative and engaging at the same time. Credit is definitely due to our friend Nathan (a.k.a. Evenings) for the heads up on this one.

Skywave – Just A Taste

This is definitely worth a few pounds on Bandcamp.
