Single Serving: Fyfe – Solace

Fyfe is a 23 year-old musician from London and this is his first single. It showed up in my inbox yesterday and it immediately caught my attention. It’s simple, it’s clean, and it’s catchy. Bright tones and a warm, crisp guitar riff belie generally morose lyrics as Fyfe sings that “living isn’t easy / when you’ve been free / and it’s been taken away.” We’ll always find room for stuff like this on TK.

He’s got an EP coming out this March.

what genre of music is this?

Sometimes I tend to run pretty fast and loose with genre titles, but here I’d just keep it simple and call it “indie pop”
