Turntable Kitchen :: October 2012 Mix

Point Bonita Lighthouse

October has long been one of my favorite months. For me, October is festive gourds, pumpkin flavored foods, apple cider, baseball postseason, and ends with my birthday (which is on Halloween). And so far, this year, October has also proved to be a pretty good month for hot new music. The music we’re featuring on this mix has made it’s way to me from a variety of sources, but I definitely owe props to Danger Village for MØ, I Guess We’re Floating for Isle and the new Kodak To Graph, and Pitchfork for Indians.

If you’re looking for even more great new music, you might be happy to learn that last month we dished out two great mixes. First, we plated up tracks from our first twelve Pairings Boxes to celebrate the Pairings Box’s One Year Anniversary. And, if you haven’t copped it yet, don’t pass on the Breakfast Mix. It’s served all day long.

    Gorgeous, thanks for sharing!

  • Thanks Marie!

  • I can’t wait to listen to some of these!

  • Thanks Brian! I’m sure you’ll find some stuff to enjoy. Even though there aren’t a lot of familiar names on this list… I think there is a LOT of talent here.

I love Wolf Alice! Do they have any material I can purchase, and if so, how?

  • I don’t see anything to buy yet, but you can find some goodies on their Facebook page:
